For the final project on the Pathways course I created illustrations for Corrinne Averiss’s Moon Mouse, a picture book for 4-5 year olds. I worked closely with the art director at Hachette Children’s Publishing to produce a central character that had energy and freshness. I was inspired by the geometric shapes on vintage jazz record covers, loved developing a bold colour scheme and enjoyed creating the handmade textures for Moon Mouse and his world.
